EASY KNIT Baby Cardigan sweater pattern for baby boys and girls from NB 12M size/ Knitting the Lily Cardigan pattern for 03M.
This absolutely beautiful Lily baby cardigan sweater is knit from the top down all in one piece with no need to use circular needles. You can make this little sweater smaller or bigger by simply changing needle size and making it exactly like this tutorial ignoring the measurements provided in the tutorial since those only apply to the size mentioned at the beginning of the video. See below. Keep in mind that THESE SIZES ARE BASED ON STANDARD SIZE MEASUREMENTS AND NOT ALL BABIES ARE THE SAME SIZE. ALSO YOUR TENSION WILL VARY WHICH CAN AFFECT THE FINAL SIZE. SEE GAUGE BELOW..

Size:
Preemie use 3.5mm needles with #3, #4, DK, Aran or 8ply, 10ply yarn
NB use 4mm needles with #3, #4, DK, Aran or 8ply, 10ply yarn
03M use 4.5mm needles with #3, #4, DK, Aran or 8ply, 10ply yarn
36M use 5mm needles with #4, Aran or 10ply yarn
612M use 5.5mm needles with #4, Aran or 10ply yarn

Approx. Gauge in 2in= 16 rows/8.25 sts with 4.5 needles and Baby Aran yarn in stockinette stitch
Buttons: Six 13mm
Needles used: 4.5mm, US size 7, Clover 32in long circulars, you can use straight needles too
Yarn Used: James C Brett Super Soft Aran
Comparable yarn: Any #4, Aran or 10 ply yarn
