Just rolled over 10,000kms in the LDV T60 MAX Ute last week so thought I'd do a car owner's review of what I personally like, dislike and have experienced with the T60.

It's known internationally from Saic Motor Corp Ltd. as a Maxus T90 and and goes hard in places like Malaysia as an MG Extender but here in Western Australia I bought it as an LDV T60Max Luxe in late 2022. On Road and Off Road, it's been 4wding on various 4x4 tracks and ODA, towing and used as a daily all the way up to 10,000 kilometres or 6,200 miles if you're watching from the US.

When buying the T60 I looked at the other Utes in this segment and found them to be all fairly competitive but the T60 was the Ute of choice for me, only pipping the Mahindra 4X4 PIKUP because of a few creature comforts and with the power it looked like I could have some fun. I also considered the GWM Ute Cannon and the Ssangyong Musso.

Naturally I also looked at the Toyota Hilux, The New Ford Ranger, Mitsubishi Triton and the Isuzu DMAX but couldn't personally justify the spend on these vehicles. Not when there's so much on offer at the lower end of the dual cab price range from China and India in the Australian marketplace right now.

Super keen to see what the Hyundai Santa Cruz does to the Aussie Ute Market soon too!
