Ready for a young, smart, energetic dog to help blossom and grow? Look no further than little Laurel! At only about six months old and thirty pounds (who shouldn’t get much bigger), Laurel is a curious youngster ready to learn cues, go for walks, and get out of the shelter!

Volunteers have reported that at offsite events, Laurel doesn’t mind being lifted into the car or going for car rides and really enjoys meeting new people. Laurel is insatiably curious and wants to see, smell, and taste everything (what young dog wouldn’t?), but she is easily redirected with appropriate treats, chews, and toys. Volunteers also reported that Laurel is very easy to recall and get back on leash.

Laurel would benefit from good walking equipment and a harness because in her “puppiness”, she can pull while on leash. She needs toys, chews, walks, and food puzzles to keep her busy because she is smart as a whip and can easily get bored.
