Aries didn't want to eat or drink much at all on her last day. This was in the morning of July 13th, 2016. Here, I brushed her, one of her favorite activities. She still enjoyed it, but you can see how tired she is. :(

I gave her some Mirtazapine a few hours later and she ate her last meal voraciously and meowed a good while, which is a side effect of the medicine. Later that day she was not eating or drinking again, and she was too weak to use the litter box. So I made the difficult decision to have her put to sleep after 18 years.

Today it's been 1 month since that day. I have lots of videos of Aries on my computer. I'm sharing them on here so if anyone else has an elderly cat in similar condition, this may help you feel you are not alone and I wish you the best.

July 13th, 2017 Today has been one year to the day I said goodbye to Aries. This will always be a sad day, but I am truly happy when I think of all the time I spent with her. She showed me lots of love over the years. Rest in peace girl. Thank you to everyone for the kind words and sympathies.

BTW it sounds like 1988 but I didn't enunciate clearly enough, she was born in 1998.
