I was 1 day away from selling the 1997 80 series and getting it packed up for a new owner, and the my boys told me they want to keep it and fix it up to use as their first car when they get to highschool.

You know, a big part of why I have not worked on it for 2 years is that my work has gotten very busy, and any free time I have I try to spend with the kids and my wife. But if the kids want to hang out in the garage and help rebuild the 80 series I am all about it. It will give them an opportunity to learn more about how these things work, and maybe give them more reason to get better grades so they can pay someone to do this sort of work when they grow up :)
