What a beautiful drive we had along the Colorado River going up route 95 North in Arizona. The river and mountain scenery took our breath away. We stayed one night at Lake Havasu State Park. Lake Havasu City is known as Arizona's West Coast. We visited Lake Havasu London Bridge which was relocated from England. Havasu means bluegreen water. A planned community, Lake Havasu City was founded by Robert McCulloch in 1964. Lake Havasu City attracts more than 1 million visitors annually with 60 miles of uninterrupted navigable waterways, 300 annual events, 300 days of sunshine, 400 miles of river coastline, and 1,800 miles offroad trails.

After we left Lake Havasu City, we made our way to Tecopa, California. Tecopa is one hour south of Death Valley. To get there we continue to drive route 95 north, Arizona. The route took us into California a bit, then into Nevada, and back to California again. The scenery along the drive is so beautiful !!
