Had a great morning catch up with Bumi's owner and her free flighted conures, was all great until the conures got spooked by 2 crows flying overhead which in turn set off the evasive response by Korra and Pabu haha it's was great to see them defensively flock but this meant the crows then showed interest and pushed them out over the tree line. THEY WERE NOT IN DANGER. Native birds in Australia chase our birds and vice versa almost daily, this is nothing new. We understand the behaviours of native species and know when things are a issue.
It's important to note that these are key times where skills must be learnt, it's also not the goal to panic or call them back if they need to evade and go out of sight go for it but stay heard and seen. This is where your birds need to have navigation skills to come back.
Pabu and the conures did however Korra was further down in the trees.
We had to go at that time, ordinarily we would wait for them to return when safe to do so but had no time so walked back to the car where Korra was waiting in the tree line.
