Steel X12MF was created in the 30s of the last century as a tool alloy for cold deformation. This material remains in demand today. Outstanding wear resistance characteristics allow the raw material to be used in mass as well as serial production.
Unfortunately, I do not have the opportunity to forge a knife, and therefore I use a blank for a knife made of x12mf steel. With the help of a grinder I form the outline of a knife.
To make the handle of the knife, I use the Japanese traditional technique wa handle. The principle is to fix the knife handle with a dowel.
