In today's world, kids are becoming more and more savvy at a younger age. It is every parent's responsibility to be aware of the dangers of cyberspace and how child predators have access to your child just by logging on the World Wide Web.

Removing Internet access from your home, is pulling the plug on the communication between you and your child. Schools, libraries, friend's homes and now even cell phones your child will be dealing with the traps and lures offered on the Internet. By not teaching your child and yourself how to navigate the Internet safely, you leave your family vulnerable to anyone on this dangerous playground.

David Jones and Stephanie Guerra, both from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force in San Diego, discuss their top safety tips for your child and rules parents should enforce. They explain the lures and the danger signs, and talk about safety agreements, filters, and other products out there to help you. This video will give safe web sites for your child to explore and web sites for parents to learn more.

David Jones, Detective Sergeant. Runs the San Diego's ICAC Task Force Internet Crimes Against Children. He works with many law enforcement agencies, from the Sheriff's office to Border Patrol. He's also in charge of sexual offender registration in San Diego County. He is a father and grandfather.

Stephanie Guerra is a Detective with San Diego's Sheriff Department and a part of the ICAC Task Force. She is a part of Operation Hamlet, one of the largest international busts in Internet Crimes Against Children, including sexual abuse and child pornography. She is a proud mother of a teenage son.
