Things you need to know about this pattern...

1. This pattern is made to measure. (A tape measure is essential. All of the measurements are provided below, you just need to measure your garment as you progress through the pattern).

2. As it is made to measure you can use any weight yarn and any size hook.

3. Due to the way in which the pattern is constructed, the larger the size, the wider the sleeves and the longer the length. There is an option to cuff the sleeves or leave them as they are.

4. Once it has been assembled, you can either leave it the length it is at or there is another option to add extra length.

5. Because it is made to measure and you can use any yarn, I cannot provide yarn yardage details. This is a great project though for using up scraps!

Est. yarn yardage based on a short length with dk yarn and a 5mm hook...
12 years 275m 301yd
23 years 360m 394yd
45 years 430m 471yd
67 years 510m 558yd
89 years 600m 657yd
1011 years 660m 722yd
1213 years 770m 843yd

SIZING... Written as 12 (23, 45, 67, 89, 1011, 1213)

As you progress through your pattern you will need these measurements and timestamps...

I suggest to measure the child's chest and go for the size closest to that measurement.
CHEST (cm) 48 (55, 60, 65, 69, 73, 78)

01:29:05 Keeping the cardi cropped plus neckline

01:50:58 ADDED LENGTH TO HIP (cm) You will need measure from the centre back neck straight down 25.5 (28, 30, 33, 38, 41, 43)

If you prefer a tunic length then add an extra 10cm on to the length of the size you are making.

01:53:07 Neckline

For the final rows around the neckline, the more you add the more length and width you add, so if the cardi becomes snug, you can always add extra rounds to widen it more!
