The 2022 Kia Sorento and the 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe share the exact same powertrain, the base being a naturally aspirated 2.5liter 4cylinder with 191 horsepower and 181 lbft of torque mated to an 8speed automatic transmission with the option of either front or allwheeldrive.

The higher trim levels come fitted with the turbocharged 2.5liter 4cylinder with 281 horsepower and 311 lbft of torque. This engine also has an 8speed automatic, but now with a dualclutch and also available with either front or allwheeldrive.

The Kia Sorento costs a couple thousand dollars more than the Hyundai Santa Fe but it makes sense considering you get more interior space in the Kia.

They range from around $29,000 for the base models all the way up to $43,000 for the four wheel drive top of the line trims.
