After getting a good tape measure and speed square, invest in a good impact driver and drill combo set so you can also do projects around the house. Also, invest in a pocket hole jig set if you're wanting an easy way to join wood together; learning how to properly hide your pocket holes will teach you a lot about designing your cabinets and furniture. A good palm router is great for creating profiles on your pieces and can also be used for creating dados (channels) for shelves and other applications. Of course, I also recommend investing in a quality sander, but I'll leave some links for other options below. You can never have too many clamps either. The biggest difference in all of the "Beginner woodworking" videos I saw was, most people say to get a circular saw and rarely mention the jig saw.
