The side mount tracks great if you set it up properly and allows me to control my kayak with one hand, this gives me a lot of room for netting the fish and lets me sit in a comfortable position. The breakoff bracket works as a safety for the kayak and myself and I have snapped it once before as you can see in the video, the motor release does not always work for every situation due to the head of the motor sticking out past the shaft which can easily hook onto logs or a stump and cause you some serious trouble, stay safe out there guys and thanks for watching.
