Karlee was diagnosed with LeggCalvePerthes disease. This is a childhood condition that affects the hip. LeggCalvePerthes occurs when blood supply is temporarily interrupted to the ball part of the joint. That part of the bone then breaks more easily and heals poorly. The cause of the condition is not known and doctors thought Karlee may never walk again. Karlee is now a beautiful high school student and is exceeding in all aspects of her life including pageants and competition cheerleading.
