Kaneko has given us some of the best arcade titles of the 90s. Personally, I remember spending hours playing games like Air Buster or Gals Panic on arcade machines. But Kaneko has also developed many other lesserknown but equally interesting titles. In the 80s, Kaneko mainly worked for Taito as a contracted developer. In this list, I bring you their complete catalog of arcade games, sorted chronologically. Join me in discovering the wide variety of games that this Japanese company has created over the years.

***Kaneko's History***
Kaneko was founded in June 1980 by Hiroshi Kaneko in the Nerima district of Tokyo, Japan, under the name Kaneko Seisakusho Co. The company played an important role in developing games for both amusement spaces and homes, working as a contracted developer for Taito during the 80s. In the 90s, they began publishing their own titles and established a domestic development division called Inter State, as well as a U.S. distribution division called Kaneko USA, which also got involved in its own development for a brief time.

In 1996, Kaneko introduced the Kaneko Super Nova system, a cartridgebased arcade platform similar to SNK's Neo Geo system. However, the system did not have the expected success and the company's game production stopped. At this point, the company was mainly known for its Gals Panic franchise. Legal problems, including a lawsuit against Hitachi over the Nova system, led the company to file for bankruptcy in 2004 and finally to close permanently in 2006."
