Pitch Book II Part 1 :

Britannia, 5th century ad. Arthur, King of Britain, is met with confusion and reluctance by his knights. Doubt is settling in, conflicts are frequent and failures are multiplying. The Gods, worried, charged the Lady of the Lake with the responsibility of maintaining Arthur's faith in his noble mission.

The Kingdom is once again under its ennemies' attack, and a rebellion is rising among the briton peasants, who reject the government's policies.

Sir Léodagan and his wife Séli, the lords of Carmélide, are working to assert their political place by the King's side. They are attempting to persuade him to give a child to their daughter Guenièvre and to offer their son Yvain a knighthood and a seat at the Rond Table.

Sir Lancelot du Lac, unable to declare his love to Queen Guenièvre, slowly drifts away from his fellow knights and his King.

While it seems the quest for the Holy Grail is stuck in a dead end, King Arthur gathers his knights at the Rond Table.

General summary :

5th century ad. England is still called Britain. Christianity is born, old celtic traditions are clashing and the Roman Empire is on the decline. At the crossroad of history, the Kingdom of Kaamelott thus seems to be the new hope for modern civilization. Dedicated to his divine mission, King Arthur tries to guide his people towards the light.
