Meet Johanna Carbajal. Johanna has been a member of the Homeboy family since she was 14 years old. Now, working with us as our Board Liaison and a fulltime undergraduate student at UCLA, she takes pride in being a mom, daughter, sister, friend, and mentor – roles that for a long time, she had never imagined for herself.

Located in downtown Los Angeles, Homeboy Industries provides hope, training, and support to formerly ganginvolved and previously incarcerated people, allowing them to redirect their lives and become contributing members of our community. By utilizing a combination of donations and social enterprises, Homeboy Industries is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose innovative model of therapeutic wraparound services has helped the organization become one of the most successful reentry programs in the United States.
