Welcome to Düsseldorf's Japan Tag 2023 or Japan Day / 日本デー in Germany, the city's biggest cultural festival celebrating all things Japanese! From the colorful costumes and traditional dances to the mouthwatering food and exciting performances, this event in May 2023 has something for everyone to offer. This walking tour starts close to Medienhafen area and goes until the other end of the event behind the Schifffahrtsmuseum. You'll witness a very crowded but vibrant atmosphere and breathtaking cosplay displays throughout our walk. You'll also see tome delicious Japanese street food stalls, which offer sushi, ramen, takoyaki and also matcha sweets. There was a wide variety of presentations and entertainment to be seen, including traditional music and dance performances, samurai demonstrations, sake seminars, calligraphy lessons, kimono fittings, Japanese board games, and Manga stands. And just when you think the excitement is over, we'll take you to see the famous Japanese fireworks at the end of the night, which starts every year at around 23:00! You won't want to miss this spectacular display of light and sound. Whether you're a Japanophile or simply curious about different cultures, this video walk is the ultimate way to experience Japan Tag 2023 / Japan Day 2023 in all its glory.
