James Herriot is the world's favourite Vet. Alf Wight created James Herriot and the All Creatures Great and Small series of books whilst working in the Thirsk Practice. This is now James Herriot World, a museum and unique insight into Alf Wight's life and how he created James Herriot.
We visit what he created as Skeldale House, see where he lived and worked and find out how he used his personal experiences to write the wonderful novels loved by so many.
