The Israeli Air Force struck more than 70 targets across the Gaza Strip over a 24hour period, killing a “senior Palestinian Islamic Jihad operative,” according to the Israel Defense Forces.

The IDF revealed the senior operative was killed during an airstrike in Rafah and was the head of logistics for the terror group in Gaza’s southernmost city.

Israel also appears to be changing course, at least slightly, when it comes to its fullscale operation in Rafah. An Israeli representative told the International Court of Justice on Friday that Israel has not started the fullscale operation because it’s working to ensure civilians are kept safe.

The war began on Oct. 7 when Hamas launched a surprise attack on Israel, killing approximately 1,200 people and taking more than 200 people hostage. As of Saturday, more than 100 hostages remain captive in Gaza.
