Try these five tests to see how trainable your cat is. If your cat isn't trainable, work with food puzzles to find a reward they value and then try again. Every cat IS TRAINABLE when you give them a paycheck that meets the job description. More challenging skills require a bigger paycheck, so keep all assignments easy, especially when you start to train your cat.
Boredom is one the most common reasons cats exhibit behavior problems. Whether it's food puzzles or training, working for food is an excellent way to enrich your cat's life. Food puzzles are an independent problemsolving activity. Clicker training is a positive outlet for your cat's energy that also teaches them fun and practical skills and strengthens your bond.
Have fun training! Julie and Jones

➡ MEET THE TEACHER I'm Julie Posluns, also known as Julie, the Cat Teacher. My goal is to help people enrich their cat's life with clicker training. I am an Associate Certified Applied Animal Behaviourist (ACAAB). I love to break complex behaviours into tiny achievable steps and show cat guardians how fun and rewarding it is to train their cats. My assistant in the videos is a black cat named Jones, who has a full scholarship to Cat School.
