Is this the BEST Pizza Hut Pan Pizza? Foolproof Recipe

A personal Pizza Hut Pan Pizza recipe that goes well with arcadestyle Beat Em’ Ups. With the release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Shredders Revenge, I decided to try and recapture a moment in time from my childhood, when I would go to a sitdown Pizza Hut, enjoy a personal pizza, and then play a few rounds of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time. Taking inspiration from two different sources, I crafted the perfect pan pizza recipe. In this video, I teach you how to make it. Here’s how.

Dough:
11 ounces (2 cups) flour
8 ounces (1 cup) water
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp yeast
Nostick spray, as needed

Sauce:
1 can of tomato paste
1 can water
1/4 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
2 tsp olive oil
1 tsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp dried basil
1/4 tsp dried oregano
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder

For Pizzas:
Olive oil, as needed
Shredded Mozzarella cheese
Sliced Pepperoni
Sprinkle of fairy dust
Your favorite toppings, so long as they are chopped small

Fairy Dust:
2 tsp parmesan, grated
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp dried oregano

For Dough: In a medium bowl, place flour, salt, sugar, and yeast. Whisk to combine. Add water and stir in until just combined. Cover and allow to rest for 30 minutes. Then, using slightly wet fingers, pul the dough onto itself to make a tight ball. Cover and rest for another 20 minutes.

Place dough on a cutting board and roll it up as tight a ball as you can. Spray down an airtight container with nostick spray. Place dough ball inside, spray again, cover, and allow to rest in the fridge from 12 to 24 hours. You can go longer if you need to.

For Sauce: Place all ingredients in a medium bowl and whisk to combine. Place inside a covered bowl or airtight container in the fridge until ready to use.

For Fairy Dust: Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Set aside until ready to use.

To Make Pizzas: Spray two 7inch pizza pans with nostick spray. You can use a metal cake pan in a pinch. Add a little oil to each pan, about 2 teaspoons. Divide dough into three equal pieces. It doesn’t have to be totally exact. Save one piece for a later date in the fridge.

Place one dough into each pizza pan and press it into the edges. Flip, and repeat. Cover, and allow to rest for about 15 minutes. Preheat the oven to 480 degrees.

Once the oven comes to temperature, press the dough into the edges again and using a “docker,” punch holes into the pan pizza. You can use a fork in a pinch. Ladle on 1 TBL of pizza sauce onto the top of the doughs and spread it out evenly. Top with 1 1/2 TBL of cheese. Bake these pizzas for about 810 minutes.

PIZZA IS HOT, USE CAUTION WHEN TOPPING. Add some more pizza sauce and spread it out into an even layer. Top with some cheese all over the pizza, even the edges. Add toppings, but don’t go crazy. Top with a little more cheese and sprinkle on the fairy dust.

Bake for another 812 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden. Remove from the oven and allow to rest in the pan for three minutes. Using oven mitts, run a thin spatula around the edge to loosen the pizza. Then, slide a spatula under it to get it out. Slice into fourths, and serve immediately. Delicious alone, or with your favorite arcade game. Recipe by Jammy Cooks.
