The Hilton Garden Inn Venice Mestre is located on the mainland side of Venice, but still offers great rooms, great food, and a great location for a great price. One of the worst parts about staying at a hotel in Venice is the price, as well as how difficult it can be to actually get to the hotel. You have to walk for a long time, take several water taxis or buses, and lug your suitcases around the island. The Hilton Garden Inn Venice does not require all this extra work.

We stayed in this hotel over the summer and had a great experience. Our room was a King room that cost about €145. Not too bad considering the same type of hotel on the island was well over €300 per day. The hotel also offers dinners, lunches, and breakfast, and the food was decent. You can also get a workout in at the fitness center, or get a massage at the onsite spa. It costs less than €5 to catch a bus and go over to the island to spend the day in Venice.

If you are traveling to Venice, Italy, this hotel is a truly viable option for the costweary traveler. Even though it seems like a good travel budget hotel, it is really a good experience without destroying your wallet.
