Kyle is extremely nervous about warping the fittings during heat treating. Once he pushes past that point, it’s smooth sailing from there until he has to sharpen the massive doubleedged blade. Little did he know, the coffee etch and bluing will come with their own challenges. Overcoming these challenges was one of the most rewarding parts of this build and Kyle’s painstaking pursuit of excellence shines through during the entire knife making journey in building Fortitude.
