In this video I am doing a blind comparison between two of the most popular 35mm options for the Leica M system: the infamous Leica Summicron ASPH 35mm F2.0 and the budget friendly Voigtländer Nokton 35mm F1.4. While the Nokton costs around 600$, the Leica comes with a proud price tag of around 2600$ (sometimes more, sometimes less, depending on your luck). Of course the question lays close: Is the Leica glass actually worth the investment of 2000$ more? Let's try to answer this question in this video and also evaluate, which of these two lenses I will keep in the end.
Time Stamps:
00 introduction
56 street photography blind test
35 blind test lens reveal
13 general comparison
57 image quality comparison
10 sponsoring (portraitmode.io)
15 Is it possible to spot the Leica lens?
53 Which one will I keep?
