This whistle is basically a custom version of an old style high D whistle. The Shush Pro retains some of the edge of a traditional high D, but without the breathiness or grittiness in the tone. The tuning of the Shush Pro is excellent, and the tone us soft, nonbreathy, a little edgy, but also provides a richness that you will enjoy.
