Ingredients
1kg grated raw mangoes
750 grams sugar
1 tbsp red chili powder
1 tsp turmeric
2 tbsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp asafoetida
1 tsp salt
Method of preparation:
In a bowl of raw, grated mangoes, add sugar and mix them well.
Once the mango starts releasing its juices add salt, turmeric, asafoetida, red chili powder, and cumin seeds. Give them all a mix.
Transfer the mixture to a wok and keep stirring it.
After sometime lower the flame and check the consistency of the sugar.
Once you get the desired consistency, switch off the flame and store it in a bottle.
