Now that the external power shed is done with solar and hydro power its time to hook up the off grid inverter. This is the Sun Gold Power 6000w inverter and charger. It is so heavy at 103 pounds. It has many features like remote switch, generator auto start, grid active battery charger, split phase output. Although this inverter is 6000w output I am just hooking it up to run a single wall outlet for normal household appliances. My thoughts are that I can run the microwave, internet, tv, and refrigerator in a power down situation.
