Installing a Tilting Fridge Slide on a DECKED (USA) Drawer System - Chevy Colorado

Follow
The Disillusioned 1811

I installed a tilting fridge slide in my adventuremobile/bugouttruck, a 2021 Chevy Colorado ZR2. The slide is affixed to the top of the DECKED drawer system. The slide needed to tilt in order to access the contents of the fridge since it is sitting higher up atop the DECKED system.

A normal fridge slide that comes straight out would have clearance issues for opening and closing the fridge door when using a DECKED system in conjunction with a GoFastCamper or truck topper.

I found a tilting fridge slide that would fit the Dometic CFF45 fridge from Overland Vehicle Systems:

I used metal washers and nylon lock nuts to secure it to the DECKED system. I also had a couple of extra screws left over from the DECKED install that I saved and I used those screws when I encountered the East/West channel which has a metal piece underneath the DECKED platform.

Here is the video of me installing the DECKED system into the Colorado:

I placed the fridge on the driver's side so I could have has much visibility to my rear view when driving.

You need to be organized in your packing of gear around the slide because it could impinge on the gear when opening, tilting. and sliding. Also, the power cord can impinge upon the slide when closing the slide. I am working on a solution to that problem now and when I have figure it out I will post a video of the setup.
