How to install a multifunction standby/run switch in a guitar tube amp without having to modify the chassis in any way. Keep the stock appearance, gain functionality and help save your tubes.
Many tube amps use two switches for on/off and Standby/Run. This unique switch can do both.

It's a good idea to install a standby switch on tube amps that have solid state rectification since there is no warm up time for when DC voltage is applied to the circuit and tubes unlike tube rectification where the rectifier tube needs to warm up before the DC voltage starts flowing.
I'm using a 5E3 as an example on how to do it, since the 5E3 has a Tube rectifier it's not as crucial to have one but I like it for the guitar cable pop.
