The Galapagos is an island world in the vast Pacific, full of extreme contrasts. It’s hellishly hostile in some parts, and idilic in others. Here, survival depends on wits, guts, and a fair degree of luck. Cut off from the rest of the world, life evolves differently here, thriving or struggling in this temperamental paradise. With a volcanic landscape that looks like the surface of the moon, it wasn't easy for life to colonize it, and yet somehow it did.
