Encounter between shortwinged cicada and Praying Mantis

· Shortwinged cicadas are a genus of longcorned grasshoppers, they have small wings and a bulge resembling a saddle. Their large legs propel them to make great leaps and flee from danger, in addition to serving as a defense. They also have powerful jaws with which they crush food. They cannot fly and emit a characteristic sound with their wings.

· Praying mantises are usually solitary except during the breeding season, but they are great hunters and their diet does not consist solely of insects, did you know that they are capable of eating birds? Even frogs, lizards or little mice.
There are still many to discover in tropical regions of the planet, but did you know that? They are relatives of cockroaches!
