A happy and heartwarming story about a kind, trustful barber, Aleksei Tuturin, that no one believes as he tries to explain his tardiness.

But every time the barber does actually experience unusual things : either when he has lunch with Emir of Buruhtania, or when he almost gets hit by a car, whose driver turns out to be Edita Piekha, or he is drenched in water by a street cleaner. Because of these kinds of stories, the supervisor refuses to sign Tuturin's performance sheet for a promotion, and instead forces him to come up with a believable story about his lateness. However, Tuturin is tormented by his conscience, and his efforts to tell the truth are not understood. Finally when everyone decides to take action, the wellknown Emir and Edita Piekha appear in front of them to make them change their minds.
