Sky News host Paul Murray slammed the Treasurer’s response when shown footage of a man now living in his car near a river, following a rent hike.

“You got to do something about it. You don’t just yap about it," Mr Murray said.

“The treasurer’s response to that piece of footage was of course to point to the billions of dollars going into social housing over the next ten years, but that blokes living by the river tonight.

“It was just an inconvenient little bump in the road of selfpromotion in the leadup to a budget that will make everything look rosy.”
