WALKING to the RAINBOW MOUNTAIN | The 7color mountain in Cusco, Peru We went to visit the rainbow mountain in Peru! The colorful mountain in Cusco is a secret of the Andes that one must experience at least once in a lifetime! It was truly a unique experience because the hike ascends to an altitude of 5,000 meters (16,404 feet) and the landscapes towards the Ausangate Snow Mountain are spectacular! Thanks to our friend Fidelus (@fidelustourguide) for encouraging us during the journey!

The rainbow mountain is located about 100 kilometers (2 hours) from Cusco, Peru. The mountain is known as Vinicunca or The Rainbow Mountain. The hike is challenging due to the high altitude but not very long: the duration is approximately two hours.
