If I asked any average Warriors fan who Antpelt and Beetlewhisker were, I bet they'd only be able to give me the vaguest idea of these two boys. But I happen to love these two very minor characters, and I wanted to explore their personalities and backstories more!

Antpelt and Beetlewhisker are best known for being two cats who trained and subsequently died in the Dark Forest. Antpelt was then killed again by Ivypool, while Beetlewhisker was never seen again. Heads up, this video has a lot of extrapolation and headcanon in it, so if you're going to get upset at me for it I suggest you go elsewhere.

Beetlewhisker is born into RiverClan with his parents, Icewing and Mintfur, and his siblings, Petalkit, Grasskit, and Pricklekit. However, Pricklekit dies after only half a moon from an illness, and Beetlepaw and his siblings are apprenticed with him. But Beetlepaw finds he has a lot of trouble in training, and gets jealous of how well his siblings are doing compared to him. Brokenstar meets him in a golden field, and eventually convinces him to train in the Dark Forest. But there, Beetlewhisker meets his mother, Icewing. The two are very uncomfortable and try to avoid each other, with neither wanting to confront why they are there. Sadly, though, Beetlewhisker is eventually killed by Brokenstar, and his spirit ends up lying forever in the Dark Forest.

Antpelt was born a loner named Ant, who parents abandoned him early in life. He learned to live alone, but his personality became jaded and prickly because of the isolation. One day a WindClan patrol was hunting a rabbit, when out of nowhere an unknown cat came in and made an incredible catch. Stunned by his talent, Onestar invited Ant to become part of WindClan, and gave him the warrior name Antpelt. He was affectionately trained by Harespring and became close friends with the mistrustful Breezepelt. However, Antpelt begins having stress dreams of being banished from WindClan because he's a loner, and he becomes desperate to prove himself a loyal WindClan cat. He trains in the Dark Forest to become stronger, despite Harespring trying to urge him out of it, but he meets his first death by Thistleclaw and his second by Ivypool.



GOODNESS! I've been working on this PMV since around June, and I'm so glad to finally have it done. I'm immensely pleased with how it came out, and I hope you like it too. I've really grown attached to Beetlewhisker and Antpelt, and all I want is for more people to know their story. It's about dang time someone made a full PMV for these two!
