Immersed in God's Garden: The Surprising Health Benefits of Walking Barefoot

Follow
Wild about JESUS

God gave us 200,000 nerve endings in the soles of each foot. He designed us to be immersed in his creation and to experience all of the varied textures and temperatures of the ground beneath our feet.

In today's modern world, we are mostly disconnected from his creation, living in cities, working in high rises, and wearing shoes made from synthetic materials.

Scientific studies are now showing that by simply walking barefoot on grass, sand or dirt, you can receive measurable health benefits, regardless of your age or current health status.

And it makes sense... just as God has given us everything we need for good health and vitality in the natural fruits, vegetables, nuts and legumes that we eat, he has designed us to be connected to his creation, and has provided health benefits there as well.

When we go "back to Eden" and live life God's way, our health and vitality can be restored to how he intended from the beginning.

While there are potential health benefits of walking barefoot, it's also important to be mindful of the surface you're walking on to avoid injury and infection. We recommend that you consult with your healthcare professional before walking barefoot outdoors (or before starting any new exercise routine).
