Ike and Abe have completed their four week residential training holiday with us.

Their family were struggling with them barking both in the house and out on walks and also their loose lead walking.

During their stay we have given the boys some new skills to help them to disengage from the many environmental distractions that resulted in barking, including joggers, cyclists, and unknown men. This will help their owner to manage them in unpredictable situations and begin to relax when they are out and about.

In the house the boys struggled with anyone at the door and unknown guests would result in continued barking inside. We have taught the boys to settle on cue to help them to be calm when required to help their owner to entertain.

Ike and Abe’s loose lead walking was unreliable and lead walks with two dogs was becoming very difficult, we have taught the boys a few new lead walking exercises to help their owner to enjoy walks with both dogs by her side.

These two can be anxious and have a number of environmental triggers making outings very difficult, with their new skills their owner can begin to move forward and make progress ready for the busy summer months ahead.
