Icom 7300: How To Set PILEUP BUSTING Audio

The Icom 7300 has some of the best audio on the ham radio bands. It offers great compression with the ability to manually adjust bass and treble of the transmitted audio. In this video I cover how to adjust your audio for busting DX pileups and ragchewing with friends.

I'm using the Icom HM219 hand microphone and it sounds absolutely fantastic. Many operators want to run out and replace the hand mic thinking they're inferior. That's not the case on the Icom 7300. The stock microphone sounds amazing! However, if you would like to go handsfree for easier logging you're going to have to go for a boom mic or a headset. I would recommend looking at the Heil headsets.
