I watched OPPENHEIMER in one of those 30 IMAX theaters.

I don’t know if there is anyone who hasn’t heard. In the middle of summer, something created a wave of heat even hotter than the summer itself.A movie. It filled the movie theaters that we've been away from for years. The hype bubble on the internet has inflated to such an extent that, they alienate, those who haven't watched it yet, those who watch it but don't like it, and those who like it but don't tell it.This movie is about one of the most iconic figures of the last century.I went to the cinema without knowing that much about the character. Then watched the movie.I even had my souvenir photo taken afterward. Of course, I BarbieHeimered. Yes, after thanking the girls in pink dresses who took the photo, let me move on to my thoughts on the other movie I watched. It's not a movie to be worried about spoilers.A biographical film about the American theoretical physicist Robert Oppenheimer, who went down in history as the father of the atomic bomb.Adapted from this book:American Prometheus, The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer. We can actually start to make inferences from the name of the book. A Shakespearean interpretation of a character as legendary as those in Greek mythology.Flying close to the sun, victory. Then the melting of the wings, the tragedy. But this is neither mythology nor theatre. The chaotic mind of one of the key figures who changed the fate of the entire world. That's why whatever is done about it is effective. This book is a Pulitzer Prize winner. I think another, better book on the subject is, The Making of the Atomic Bomb by Richard Rhodes. This is also a Pulitzer Prize winner, and now finally, claiming to be the best feature movie ever made on the subject Oppenheimer. Probably It will collect many awards. The irony of the matter is that the character, who is the subject of all these awardwinning works, did not receive the Nobel Prize, the biggest award in his field. In other words, while he loses, he makes those who talk about him win big time. That's probably why everyone is talking about him on social media.I will talk about him too for sure, but first I need to understand. But I'll admit, I can't say that I fully understand this character yet.Because from the first day I heard about this movie, I've been trying to do some reading and watching about him since last year. The more I learn, the more I get lost in the subject.Man's life is as complex as the quantum world as you know. It's full of grift and uncertainty. You can't call him good or bad right away. And the same can be said for this movie.First of all it was shot by Nolan, who is considered a good director even if not among my best.So I have some respect for him because of Interstellar and Inception. The actors are all very successful.Almost even the extras are Oscar winners.Let me see what else? The music.Music was composed by Ludwig Göransson, whom we know from The Mandalorian and whom we immediately adopted as our new Hans Zimmer. So I think it's still average. As for the cinematography pattern, they used the biggest cameras loaded with the biggest reels and shot in the highest quality possible. What else could they do?That's why I said to my close friends months ago;that I want a ticket to this movie as a gift for my birthday this summer. And you know where I watched the movie?Of course in IMAX.And not in an ordinary IMAX. From one of the highest resolution copies shown in only 30 cinemas in the world of which there are 1 in Australia and Czechia, 3 in the UK, 6 in Canada, 19 in the US.You can even see the pores on the faces of the actors. So why is it featured in so few places?Because the 272kg reel is 17 km long. They were only able to produce and distribute 30 of them.Directors love to go overboard with such techniques to use techniques that best reflect their vision. They've done it in the past.Hitchcock personally went and inspected the cinemas where his movie was shown.Like a teacher, he wouldn't let the latecomers in.In order to capture images by candlelight, Kubrick shot movies with a special lens used in NASA's Apollo Moon missions with the lowest aperture of that period, f0.7.And Nolan chose the IMAX 70mm medium to create the highest possible viewing experience. So, do those who can't watch it lose anything?I would say yes if it was another movie maybe, but I think no for this movie. It doesn't matter where you watch it.Because it's mostly just heads talking all the time in closed rooms. The performance of actor Cillian Murphy, who plays him, is terrific.Indeed, in some scenes, he expressed the reflection of his inner world on his face so strongly that it is really hard not to get carried away. But in order to capture those expressions, there is no need to see the man's face in 18K resolution.8K is enough, even 4K is fine.
