Call it an anomaly, call it atypical. It's still going to be the best game of the year.
I've had a sort of hitormissminusthehit style relationship with Larian Studios in the past, what with being the only person who didn't connect with Divinity: Original Sin 2, and all that. So imagine my surprise when they drop a similar game, reskinned to look like my favorite TTRPG, only for it to become one of my favorite games of all time. Simply put, I wasn't ready for how good this was going to get.
