I recently attended Purina's Better With Pets Summit in NYC! As you can see it was an action packed day and I learned so much about pets and their wellbeing.

The topic of discussion I connected to most was how our emotional wellness is improved when we share our lives with pets… we obviously do everything we can to make sure Cole and Marm are happy and healthy and they give us so much back in return.

I've always had pets in my life, cats, dogs, fish, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs and rabbits…. I think that's it!? Growing up with pets was pawsome and I'm so glad I got to experience that and continue it in adulthood exploring my passion for animals and how I can help them.

Not only are pets cute and cuddly they're also great at relieving symptoms of depression, stress, anxiety and post traumatic stress disorder, therapy animals help people all over the world in different situations and that bond we share with them is extremely important.

Jess suffers from anxiety on a daily basis and swears that Cole knows when she's having a hard time and comes over for a cuddle and I've struggled with depression and just watching Marmalade run around like a goofball helps significantly :)
