Our family went to our very first Canal MulePulled Boat Ride. I had no idea what this place was all about and I knew was that I had to know. In the 1800s, people and cargo would be transported down canals such as this one in boats. What made this very interesting was the boat was pulled by mules. Mules are known to be strong and also live 2 times longer than horses. Come join us as view this historical canal for the first time. This attraction is very close to Starved Rock.
