In order to accurately prepare your Form 1040 tax return, you'll need to have copies of all necessary supporting tax documents, including your Form W2 from your employer.

If you lost your Form W2, you aren't totally out of luck.

You can contact the IRS and obtain a Wage and Income Transcript, which lists all of the information contained on Form W2.
