In this week’s episode we cover:

1. Hi, Andrea! I am a fairly experienced knitter but am new to making socks. I will be traveling internationally and know that I will want something to knit on, so I figured now is the perfect time to give it a go. I delved into your pattern library and found the Curio Socks which I purchased the pattern for. I am however curious about sizing. While I typically wear a US size 6.5 shoe, my foot circumference comes in around 9 inches. What do you recommend to end up with the best fit? Should I knit the woman's large as that is closest in circumference and just plan to shorten the length from toe to heal, or should I go based off of my shoe size and plan to knit the small?... Or maybe I should split the difference and go medium? Any thoughts or guidance would be appreciated. Thanks for all of the advice you share in your podcast and for designing beautiful patterns!

2. Hi Andrea!
I have been following you for several years and have made a couple of your patterns (stripes and the shift). And have multiple in my queue (and the yarns to make them!).
I’ve only more recently started watching your YouTube videos (and it’s so fun to watch multiple in a row to catch up). Maybe you have already answered this question previously…
My next knit is going to be your LYS. And I’m super excited about it, but….. I don’t love bobbles… at all. If I’d like to omit them what do I replace it with to not lose proper stitch count (just one normal knit stitch)? Thank you so much for lighting up the fiber world with your kindness, Andrea!

3. Several months ago, you showed one you had made using mohair and DITW . I loved it! So I bought some yarn to knit it up but then I thought, oh should I hold the mohair double? Should I hold the mohair with the sport weight yarn and not do two color brioche? Can you explain how you created that beautiful hat? Did you use the fingering or worsted pattern? Thanks for your help!

4. Hi Andrea! I love your weekly podcast and was totally inspired last week hearing how many books you have read in 2024 already. I am curious if you could share your approach to reading (I assume audiobooks) — and how you balance that with any TV or movie watching you do. I currently watch TV when I knit, which I love, but now I am inspired to think about reading more. Thank you!!

5. Hi Andrea! I love your patterns and your podcast! I constantly find my self wanting to dive straight down the various crafty rabbit holes you showcase on your podcast. Currently, I am diving down the sewing rabbit hole and had a question. I don't have access to fabric stores that have sewing lessons etc. Therefore, I am solely learning all of the necessary garment techniques through youtube. I'm ready to start working from patterns, but find it challenging to find beginner friendly and appealing garment patterns. Do you have any recommendations of websites where I can find good quality and easy to follow sewing patterns? Thank you
