Hi Everyone,

What a year I had! In this video I'll be talking about my New Year's Resolution I did in 2022 which was I didn't buy any new clothing for an entire year. I only could purchase used or second hand clothing from thrift stores or I could make my own clothes from scratch. I'll be discussing everything I experienced and learned from the past year in this video.

Long story short fast fashion has devastating effects on the planet and the need for sustainability and sufficiency in my wardrobe was ever present. I purchased clothing from places like poshmark, thredup, ebay, and even facebook to keep up with the fashion trends of the year instead of buying it new. I also learned how to repair and mend clothes so I reduced the need to throw items away.

I also discuss a bit about the power that social media has on the ability to influence you to spend more on clothes and the business behind drops, product launches, and collaborations that you see especially in the athleisure space with brands like gymshark, buffbunny, vitality, and kamo fitness. I quite enjoy athleisure wear and was able to feel like I was keeping my wardrobe fresh without buying new.
