In this video, I took my recently acquired Nikon Z8 on a photography expedition to Scotland. A few weeks back, I ventured into the Scottish landscapes, fully equipped with my brandnew Nikon Z8, hoping to capture stunning images.

The weather forecast was quite extreme, predicting the arrival of a massive storm with Arctic conditions. As anticipated, the weather lived up to its forecast, creating a chaotic atmosphere.

Regrettably, disaster struck on the first night while capturing a captivating timelapse of the night skies. A powerful gust of wind toppled my camera and tripod, rendering the Nikon Z8 nonfunctional. Although the damage was relatively minor, with only slight harm around the eyepiece and a small crack in the body, the camera's screen and electronic viewfinder refused to power up.

To compound the issue, the only alternative camera I brought was an older vlogging camera paired with a 24105mm lens. Adapting to the situation, I decided to modify my filming style.
