An animated Nuzlocke adventure where two friends turn bitter rivals as they journey through a Randomized Kanto Region (Kanto616) collecting gym badges in a Nuzlocke run with higher stakes and even higher rewards.
After every gym fight they do a 1 versus 1 Pokemon Cagematch where the victor can be given a TM, a Revive or a Held Item, while the loser dies.

At then end, after the league they both duel it out in a 6v6 match to see who is the true champion of the Kanto Region.

CAGELOCKE RULES (for this run)

1. Catch the First Pokemon of every Route and Nickname them.
2. If a Pokemon faints, it dies.
3. If you white out, the game is over.
4. No TMs can be taught to your Pokemon. HMs are allowed if legal.
5. No combat oriented held items can be used in battle (Exceptions are Exp. Shares, Lucky Eggs, Amulet Coins etc).
6. No potions inside of battle.
7. All trainer battlles are Double Battles.

8. After every Gym leader, we have a 1v1 match on Pokemon Showdown. Any alive Pokemon you have caught (in your active party or PC) can be sent in for a cage match. All Pokemon are set to Lvl50 and given ideal EVs/IVs.
9. The winning Pokemon of the cagematch can be given either TMs to learn, a Combat Held item for the rest of the run, or a Revive for the Nuzlocke.
10. The losing Pokemon dies and has to be boxed/released.
11. A pokemon can only be brought once to a cagematch, there can be no repeats. Therefore one Pokemon can only have one maximum perk.
12. After the league, the final team of 6 sent in to the Elite four has to be used for the final fight. No learnsets or items can be changed between the Champion fight and the Final Fight.
13. Winner of the final fight gets bragging rights.
