Further up the Pacific Coast Highway is the Bolsa Chica state reserve area, which is a 1,300 acre natural reserve and public land in Orange County. It is a popular place for locals to walk and hike. It is also very popular with birders and photographers as there are more than 200 avian species identified at Bolsa Chica.

Finishing the drive just past Naples (a neighborhood in Long Beach), built on three islands located in Alamitos Bay. This Italianinspired Long Beach community was developed in the early 1900’s as the “Dreamland of Southern California”.
