A story of a cute tender baby elephant who had to face an unexpected trouble. He may have come to the village with his mother and fellow herd. But unfortunately this little fellow has fallen in to a concrete pit filled with water at night. This area is located bordering to the forest.
According to the villagers, this tank was constructed to meet the water need during the erection of a new nearby building. However, now that the construction work is complete, they seem to have forgotten to close the small concrete tank. It has been filled with water, leading to the victimization of this innocent baby.
The tank is located nearby a military camp and a villager who first noticed this struggling elephant, informed to the army officers. The officers rushed to the location, as soon as they received the news.
They got in to the tank, to help the baby elephant to get out. This tender baby elephant has been trapped here since last night. Just imagine the pain and fear this adorable little one has been enduring. Finally, they were able to lift the baby elephant and free it from its prolonged suffering.
Look at the lower part of his legs. They have turned pale white due to being submerged in water for a long time.
The baby is too cute and admired by the military officers. They cuddle him and speak sweet words to this adorable baby. But the baby is not familiar with humans and is continuously struggling to avoid them. During his struggle to survive in the tank, there are some scratches on his body. The military officers discussed that it is better to treat those scratches and injuries before releasing him into the forest. So they called for the assistance of wildlife officers to treat his injuries.

A team of wildlife officers arrived to the location. They inspect the condition of the bay elephant and they had to tie his leg with rope to continue the treatments. First they gave some water to elephant. As he refuse to drink, one officer splashed some water over its body to hydrate him.

According to the wildlife officers, this cute baby is just about one and a half months old. Similar to human toddlers, this baby gets sleepy when the afternoon arrives.

They are trying to feed him with milk. But it is not that easy with this mischievous baby. Besides he is afraid of human beings too.

They applied an antiseptic spray on the scratches on the his body. After admisitering the necessary treatments and feeding, the officers embarked on the mission of finding his mother. They got some clues that the herd is still around the forest border. After a day of tireless effort, they successfully located the elephant mother, and subsequently released the baby elephant into the forest. It was a heartwarming reunion between mother and baby.
